Scottish Festival

I just spent the weekend at a Scottish festival with Vince.

I thought I'd share a few memorable moments (direct from Vince--who'd never seen anyone in a kilt before!):

"Why are all the guys in skirts? I used to like seeing women in plaid skirts, but now whenever I see them I'm going to think of hairy mens' legs and I'll get grossed out.."

"Yay! I love bagpipes!" (When we arrived and saw our camping neighbours blaring away). Four hours later: "Don't they ever play anything else? I mean, it's nice...but it's always the same." The next day: "They're still playing. Stop them."
The next morning: "We're out of firewood--do you see any bagpipes?"

"Tell me that guy's not wearing a hairy fox on his crotch!" (referring to the sporran)

"I've never seen so many red, freckled people in my life." (late Sunday afternoon after everyone had been out in the sun all weekend)
